What is Nanotan®?

Nanotan® is an antimicrobial surface coating derived from nanotechnology consisting of three powerful components to combat multi-resistant germs, viruses and bacteria

Combats multi-resistant germs, viruses and bacteria through the effect of long-lasting self-cleaning on all surfaces

Unlike Chemical consumables, in contrast to cleaning and disinfecting agents, but permanent and sustainable functionalisation of surfaces

The photocatalytic coating is water-based and, unlike alcohol-based products, produces no hazardous aerosols

Features of the coating

• Photocatalytically active semiconductor Nano titanium oxide (TIO2) works with light
• Nanosilver additionally provides disinfection in the dark
• Due to hardness grade H7 (glass-hard) is resistant to everyday cleaning methods

How the coating works

• Generates oxygen radicals that break down organic substances into CO2 and H2O
• Decomposes up to 99.99% of all viruses, germs and bacteria, and inhibits their reproduction
• Breaks down nitrogen oxides as well as fine and ultra-fine dust, has a neutral odour

Sustainability of the coating

• Nanoparticles dissolved in water, after evaporation a microscopically fine membrane remains
• Remains effective for several months on heavily used surfaces , or several years on less used surfaces
• ongoing effectiveness avoids the need for recurring disinfection and the use of dangerous chemicals.
